  We spent an evening at the pub here in December of 2011 on our road trip through the Queensland bush.

  It's a great bush pub and one of our favourites on the trip. Don't be deterred by the odd coloured fluorescent lighting, and don't come expecting some sort of Darling Harbour style ritzy steakhouse either. The food was home cooked and simple, but tasted better than excellent. Definitely try the egg salad it was the best I've ever had!

  Tambo Tavern - really great meals! Old school lamb loin, potato bake and loads of yummy veg. Best pub meal of the trip.

  Meals were ok, but god knows where that good old country hospitality went. Bloke behind the bar was an absolutely a$$clown

  They had a good selection of beer, and the prices were very reasonable. To top it off, the staff were very friendly and and happy to sit down and enjoy a chat with you when the evening was coming to a close. If you're in Tambo, I'd highly recommend an evening here at the pub.
